Berry Direct Closing

A local company is closing it`s doors. Berry Direct, one of Joplins telemarketing companies announced today that they will be shutting down. The closing will be effective on November 20th, directly effecting over 103 employees. But at least 45 employees will be losing their jobs this Friday. Plant manager John Pennebaker says they have to close because the current economic climate in Joplin is not supporting their business.
