A mail controversy is delivering complaints inside the Jasper County courthouse. Hundreds of dollars are being wasted for inter-office mail. Letters have been mailed from the third floor to the first floor and wasting tax payer money. County Collector Steven Holt says,he has no idea how much tax payer money was wasted for the mailings. The mail had to be transported to Springfield, stamped then sent back. The problem seems to be fixed. New mailboxes were installed this week and so far they seem to be working.
