I-44& Highway 43 Accident

An early morning accident sends one driver to the hospital. The accident happened a little after 8 am this morning near the Main Street entrance amp on I-44. According to officers, a red Ford truck hit a semi driving East-bound. Officers say the truck probably tried to pass the semi on the shoulder and lost control of the vehicle. The driver of the semi was not injured in the accident, but the driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts,but authorities say the driver of the pickup did sustain serious injuries. Reported By:Brad Douglas
