Leighty Sentenced

An area teen is sentenced for murdering his Grandmother in 2001 after pleading guilty to the crime. Brandon Leighty has been sentenced to life in prison for the crime. He had pleaded guilty to first degree felony murder. Leighty was 18-years old when he fatally wounded his grandmother, 58-year old Dorothy Logan in her Fort Scott, Kansas home. Investigators believe Leighty hit his Grandmother in the head with a skillet. He will be eligible for parole in 20 years. Reported By:Robin Rogers
