A former U.S. senator from Missouri is named to an international post. President Bush has named Jack Danforth as an envoy to the country of Sudan. Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt says, Danworth is committed to fairness around the world and he understands how to simplify complex political problems. The country of Sudan has been in a civil war for 18 years now. And Danforth supporters say he is a good representative of the U.S. to try and help bring an end to the war.
