Residents in a four state community wonder why a camera was pointed at them during a recent city commissioner`s meeting.
A video camera had a vantage point of people attending the Galena, Kansas, city commissioners meeting last Monday.
During the meeting, citizens discussed the possibility of releiving police chief Cameron Arthur from his duties.
Residents told KSN they were concerned the camera was there in order to determine who was for or against the police chief. But Chief Arthur says that wasn`t the reason at all. He says he could feel tension mounting in the community and wanted to keep his citizens safe. Chief Arthur says years ago, city commission meetings tended to become very heated and he wanted to make sure people knew they would be safe as long as he`s in charge.
