A four state officer remains in critical condition after being hit by a drunk driver. 39-year old Huey Kennedy of Pea Ridge, Arkansas was charged with 2nd degree assault of a law enforcement officer. Kennedy is accused of running a red light at the intersection of Highway 71 and W Highway in Pineville. Pineville Police Officer Matthew Moore was making a left hand turn at the intersection when Kennedy`s car struck the side of the patrol car. Officer Moore was taken to a Joplin hospital with serious injuries. Officials say he is listed in critical condition tonight. Kennedy was also charged with driving while intoxicated. He posted bond Friday afternoon.
