Updated: January 7, 2009
Officers determine what may have caused an explosion at an area gas station. The explosion happened yesterday while a semi fuel truck was unloading fuel at the Jane Country store in McDonald County. Initial reports indicate the fire may have been caused by mistakenly overfilling the fuel storage tank. The explosion burned the truck as well as two fuel tanks at the store. The driver of the truck is being treated at a Springfield burn center for burns to his face and arms. Reported By:Jennifer Haile
