Budget Battle

The budget stalemate between Governor Holden and the Missouri General assembly is over. The Democratic leader today pledged to sign two education spending bills, despite his continued belief they don`t provide enough for schools. Joplin State Representative Mariyln Ruestman says signing the bills will avert a potential partial government shutdown. The governor says he`ll sign the budget package because the consequences of vetoing it would have been worse. Reported By: Jim Jackson
