As Indepenence Day quickly approaches, some local residents are showing the pride for the red, white, and blue. The First Christian Church held a patriotic rally at the Central Park in Carthage today. Organizers say the annual event is a way to show their appriciation to God and the United States. A picnic and service was held as a way to honor soldiers who have been fighting overseas. -- cook says it`s important for us to remember our nation`s heroes on independence day. ########
