Updated: January 7, 2009
A church community is pulling together to put a well loved bell back on the church, after a tornado damages the structure. L&L Home Improvement lifted this 100 year old bell into the First Congressional Church bell tower this morning. The church suffered severed severe damage during the may tornado. The construction company estimates renovations to cost almost 120 thousand dollars. Church members say this is a sign of the city coming back to normal. "We think that`s the beginning. To be rebuilding our town. Everything`s going down and this is the first thing to go up,"said Joanne George, Church member. The church bell is expected to ring for the first time since the tornado this coming Sunday. Reported By: Brad Douglas
