Updated: January 7, 2009
While one structure is being re-built in pierce city others are being torn down. Mayor Mark Peters says the demolition is going as planned. There is a 45 day contract to tear down the buidlings. So far workers are a quarter of the way finished with the demolition project. Areas have been blocked off to prevent looters from coming in during the demolition. "Well I think pretty smoothly we`ve got the place fenced off. And haven`t had any intruders, and so far, knock on wood. No one`s been hurt. So, far so good,"said Mayor Peters. The mayor expects the demolition to be complete within a month. Reported By:Brad Douglas
