Lake Safety

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A popular fourth of July pastime is spending the day on the lake, but`s it`s also one of the most dangerous. That`s why local lake patrol officals are urging boaters to remember the rules of the water. Officers say more than 70-percent of boating accidents are alcohol related. Anyone caught driving a boat under the influence will go to jail, and boat passengers could be charged with public intoxication. That`s why it`s smart to just stay away from alcohol. More than 10-thousand boats are expected to be on Grand Lake over this holiday weekend alone. Reported By: Robin Rogers
