Energy Shut-Off Warning

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
The number of people being cut off from their electric and gas services are up in the Four States. The Western Resources Utility Company has stated that shut off`s are up 50% over last year. The Salvation Army is gearing up to help with assistance during these tough times. Money is given out to the needy on the first of the month and a spokesman said that by the fourth they were already out of funds. Which leaves families left to deal on their own with no gas or electric. If you would like to donate to the Salvation Army, they are located at 320 East 8th Street in Joplin, or you can call them at (417)624-4528.
