Updated: January 7, 2009
After the unemployment rate surged to its highest level in nine years last month, more and more americans are finding it harder to get a job. The Missouri Career center is working with four state residents so they can better market themselves in this employer`s market. Tips on how to find a job and also how to keep your job were offered to people attending the center`s career morning. "The number of people that showed up today exceeded our expectations and I think it is a sign of the times and a sign of the ecomony. We service seven counties in the area and a couple of our counties have been hard hit with layoffs and with companies closing and moving out,"said Neal Ball, MO Career Center. Eight employers were on hand this morning to give the latest positions and to accept resumes from the job seekers. Reported By: Jennifer Haile
