Kids around the four states will soon be gearing up to go back to school. School supplies can prove costly for many families, that`s why the Carthage Salvation Army is stepping up to help out. Applications are being accepted today for back to school assistance. If you are a Carthage resident and are in need of assistance in buying school supplies, you should bring proof of residence, social security cards for everyone in the home and proof of income to the Salvation Army in Carthage. Applications will be accepted from 2 until 6 tonight. Donations are also being accepted at the center. You can drop off school supplies Monday through Friday, 9 until 4. Reported By: Jennifer Haile
