Thorn Pleads Guilty

A former social services supervisor pleads guilty to possession of child
pornography. 45 year-old Wesley George Thorn of Carl Junction, entered a "stand-up guilty plea."
The plea means that there was no written plea agreement. By pleading guilty, Thorn admitted he was in possession of child pornography. Thorn could face up to five years in federal prison without parole, plus a fine up to 250-thousand dollars. Thorn was supervisor of the division of child support enforcement in the Joplin office of the Missouri Department of Social Services.
