A local landmark may be recieving a face lift in the near future. Congressman Roy Blunt secured final house passage of more than $1.3 million for projects in the Springfield and Joplin areas. For Joplin it includes $60,000 for creating a feasibility study for the Union Depot downtown. The depot has been vacant since 1969 and is one of many restoration efforts planned for the downtown area.
