Loma Linda Fire

Fire destroys a rural newton county home. A blaze broke out just after one thirty this afternoon at a home in the Loma Linda subdivision near Joplin. Flames were shooting through the roof of the structure when fire units arrived. The home is owned by Phil Thamert. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation. Fire crews from Redings Mill, Seneca ,Carl Junction , Neosho, Duenweg,and Galena, Kansas helped battle the blaze. No one was injured. Reported By: Jim Jackson
