Jasper County Sheriff Promotions

after the firings of several local deputies one sheriff`s department is filling it`s positions. The intermim Jasper County Sherriff Archie Dunn held a press conference this afternoon to announce the promotions of two deputies. Gail Bass will be in charge of the operations which includes,investigations, warrants, communications and records. And Kevin Blauket has also been promoted to Captain. He will be working at the detention facility and transportation. Dunn says more promotions are coming soon and he doesn`t expect any immediate personnel changes. Dunn also announced that he has filed for the republican nomination for sherriff. Another open position is that of Stephanie Coleman who was also fired earlier this week. Dunn says a hearing is being discussed for her termination. The board has 30 days to set a date to explain why she was fired. Reported By:Brad Douglas
