Updated: January 7, 2009
One show-me state leader hopes to secure 200-million additional dollars per year for Missouri`s roads and highways. Missouri U.S. Senator Kit Bond hopes to secure the additional funding in the next federal highway bill. Bond says Missouri`s roads are the third-worst in the nation and the state`s bridges are second-worst. The Republican spoke this morning at a high school near St. Louis, where he hosted a transportation town hall forum. When Congress returns next month, Bond hopes to push the measure through before the 1998 highway bill expires at the end of September. Reported By:Robin Rogers
