School Lawsuit

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
A group of schools plan to sue the state of Missouri citing lack of funding to local districts. More than 100 missouri schools have agreed to move forward with a lawsuit. Representatives of the committee on education equality say there is a growing gap between rich and poor districts. They want the state to take a stronger role to ensure that all children in the state have the same opportunities. The current school funding formula was created in 1993, and members of the group hope to update it with this lawsuit. Reported By: Brad Douglas
