Carthage Citywide Memorial Service

Updated: January 7, 2009
Your friends and neighbors are not forgetting the victims of the terrorist attack. Carthage held a citywide memorial service tonight. Sounds of support rang through the air for those lost in the deadly attack on America. Black, white, rich, poor, young and old. People put their differences aside tonight and stood together as a unified community. While they`re leaning on each other for support, some are also turning to prayer. While terrorists may have destroyed our buildings when a community stands together they will not destroy the community spirit and many residents will tell you in this time of tragedy. Divided we will fall but united we will stand. The president is urging Americans to use their lunch hours tomorrow to attend prayer services. He quoted the scripture, "blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted."
