Tinsley Trial Testimony Concludes

The trial for a four state man charged with pre-meditated first degree murder continues today. 45-year old Eldon Tinsley Jr. is accused of murdering his business partner Myung Kim. Both the prosecution and defense rested their cases today. Jurors were sent back to the hotel to await closing argument which are scheduled to begin tomorrow morning. Prosecutor`s wrapped up their case today with testimony from two Joplin police officers. One detective testified to witnessing Tinsley move a 55-gallon barrel with the body of the victim inside. The defense`s strongest testimony came from Dawn Conrad, a family friend and former roomate of Tinsley`s daughter, Tonya. She told jurors Tinsley`s daughter Tonya confessed to murdering Kim. Conrad testified that when Tinsley found out what had happened he told Tonya he would take care of everything so she wouldn`t get in trouble.
