Energy Saving Tips

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
As the temperatures rise, so do our energy bills. But there are things you can do to keep your costs down. Set your air conditioner thermostat at 75-degrees or higher. Avoid using appliances such as dryers, irons, dishwashers and washing machines during peak hours of 11am to 7pm. Shower and cook only in the early and later parts of the day. Keep storm windows closed when the air conditioner is running. And keep blinds, shades and drapes closed during peak hours. Reported by Robin Rogers
