Updated: January 7, 2009
Last night`s rain leaves carl junction educators mopping up the pieces. Over 12 classrooms were damaged from the rain leaking through the roof. Roofers were not completed with the final touches after last May`s tornado destoryed it. Teachers say the staff has really come together and helped clean up the damage along with covering up school supplies. "The facilites will be safe for all of our students. That`s one reason why we backed shcool up to the second. All the machinery and workers will be away from the students so there should be no concerns of safety with our students,"said Connie Godwin,Principal of C.J. Intermediate Building. Educators say this has not delayed the first day of school. They will begin on Tuesday September 2nd. Reported By:Brad Douglas
