Joplin House Fire

A round of heavy rain and lightning moved through the area this morning,leaving one area home with significant fire damage. Joplin firefighters responded to a house fire at 17th and Moffet this morning. Fire officials say lightning was the cause of the fire. It caused significant damage to the home`s attic and roof. Five fire trucks and 17 firefighters responded to the blaze. No injuries were reported. Reported By:Jennifer Haile
