MSSU Enrollment Down

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Missouri Southern State University may have a new name, but students are staying away. School officials say fewer students have enrolled at the university. Enrollment is down to 57-hundred students compared to 58-hundred last year. College leaders say the rising cost of tuition may be to blame for the lower enrollment numbers. Plus, many area students are taking part in the a-plus program at Crowder College. Officials at Missouri Southern say the new University status should draw in more students in the future.
