A four state university is celebrating it`s centenial. Pittsburg State University is officially 100 years old. Archivest randy roberts says the school has changed through out the years. The school was first known as the State Manual Training Normals. And in the 1920s the Gorilla first became their mascot. And Gus has had a few different looks over the years. "Yeah this is an image of gus the Gorilla our school mascot,it may not be very P.C. with that cigar in his mouth. I`ve always enjoyed him. He`s one of those gorillas with an attitude,"said Roberts. If you have any items you`d like to donate or share with the library you can call Mr. Roberts at (620)235-4883. Reported By: Brad Douglas
