George Kelly Resigns

A longtime area Sheriff`s Deputy is stepping down from his job. Members of the Cherokee County Sheriff`s Department are saying goodbye to Undersheriff George Kelley. Kelley is retiring due to health reasons. He was in an accident about a year ago, injuries from the mishap proved to be too serious for him to continue to do his job. Kelley began his career in law enforcement in 1976. He has been Undersheriff for Cherokee County since 1999. Reported By: Jim Jackson
