Spotlight on Dagnan

As the election looms closer for a four state Sheriff,local residents are taking a closer look at the candidates. Greg Dagnan is the current Executive Director of the Children`s Center in Joplin. He also worked for the Joplin Police Department for seven years. Doing everything from patrol work to being a hostage negotiator and working crimes against children. After working with the Joplin Police Department Dagnan worked for five years as an investigator for the Jasper County Prosecutor`s office. He says there are some things that set him apart from the other candidates. "What sets me apart is my education and I think the other thing is my experience in administration and just my diverse experience. You know both of them have a lot of experience, but it`s been primarily in the same field and i`ve got a lot of diverse experience,"said Dagnan. Dagnan has his police officer`s certificate, an associate`s degree, a bachelor`s degree and an master`s degree in human resource management. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
