Williams-Sonoma Recalls about 28,000 Hot Chocolate Pots.
The handle  can break off during use, posing burn and laceration hazards.
The firm has received 28 reports.
This recall involves the Whirly Whip hot chocolate pots sold individually and as a gift set.
The pot is made of white porcelain and has a red handle. The lid has a red knob and a frother attached to the underside of the lid knob.
They were sold at Williams-Sonoma stores nationwide, and through its catalogs and website  from October 2010 through January 2011 for between $30 and $40.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pots and either return the product to any Williams-Sonoma store or contact the company for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund.
  For additional information, contact Williams-Sonoma toll-free at (855) 643-4206 between 4 a.m. and 9 p.m. PT seven days a week or visit the firm's website at www.williams-sonoma.com
