Depression is a growing problem, but one local group is working to spread the information needed to treat it. Next week is mental health awareness week and Life Support Ministries and NAMI of Joplin are joining forces to host a seminar to help fight depression. Citizens will be able to ask local doctors about mental illness, depression, and other major brain disorders. "It`s open to the public for anybody that would like to have that moment to ask doctors, its a very rare opportunity to sit down and talk about mental illness and mental disorders and that type of thing,"said Ted Gillespie, Life Support Ministries. The "Ask The Doctors" session will be held on October 8th from 2 until 4 pm at the Joplin Family Y South. If you would like more information call the Life Support Ministries at 782-LIFE.
