Vernon County Murder

A weekend shooting leaves one man dead and another recovering from a gunshot wound. The shooting happened last night just after seven o`clock in Vernon County Missouri. 31-year old Mark Anthony Hood of Nevada is currently being held on one-million dollars bond. Late this afternoon, he was charged with one count murder, two counts armed criminal action, and one count of assault. Officers say 38-year old Terry Robinson of rich hill died as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest. A second victim 49-year old Dale Wingard was also shot in the chest,but he is recovering from the wound. According to Sheriff Ron Peckman the three men were all friends. They were inside a home in a rural area south of Rich Hill, Missouri. They say an argument broke out between the two which led to the fight. That`s when officers say hood fired two shots with a small handgun. The Sheriff`s Department says they have not established a motive for the shooting,but they are currently interviewing neighbors and friends for more information on the men. Reported By: Brad Douglas
