Girard Fire

A Southeast Kansas grain elevator explodes and is destroyed by fire. Fire units still remain on the scene of a blaze that destroyed the circle E feed grain elevator in Girard. The fire was reported just after eight o`clock last night. Flames could be seen for several miles, and the cause of the blaze that gutted the elevator is still being sought. No injures were reported battling the blaze firefighters from six different area departments helped put out the blaze. Reported By: Jim Jackson
