Updated: January 7, 2009
A scary incident for workers at a Four State County building when a possible explosive is received in the mail. Officials with the Pittsburg Police Department say at approximately 9:20 this morning, the Crawford County Judicial building received a suspicious package through the U.S. Mail. While Police Chief Mike Hall won`t say what made the package suspicious. He says he saw the package himself and agreed it looked questionable. That`s why the package is being treated as an explosive. "We went and found a package taht looked suspicious that had been delivered through teh mail. It was taken away by a police officer to a safe location and now it`s awaiting the ATF and the bomb techs to come examine it,"said Chief Mike Hall. The alcohol, tobacco, and firearms agency was called from Pittsburg to examine the package. A determination has not yet been made on what is inside,or even if it is an explosive inside the package. Investigators say those details will likely not be released until tomorrow. Reported By: Jennifer Grannan
