County Reimbursement

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
It`ll be a big boost to the county`s pocketbook once the state pays back a debt. Jasper County Commissioners are expecting a check from the Missouri Government. The Commissioners have been notified they will be reimbured thousands of dollars for extradition costs. The costs were incured when two married Jasper County Sheriff`s employees were transporting an inmate from Florida to Missouri. Reports indicate the two spent four days in Florida. Authorities say the deputies arrived back home and submitted several receipts totaling 17 hundred dollars. Now, the county is finally being reinbursed for those expenses. The county now uses an authorized service to extradite prisoners when needed. The two employees who made the trip no longer work for the Jasper County Sheriff`s department.
