Volunteers turn out to stop traffic, and hunger. Today the Salvation Army held its annual hunger stop fundraiser to kick off the holiday fund drive. Workers stopped traffic at the busy corner of 7th and Main in Joplin to raise money to feed those who are in need this Christmas season. Volunteers spent the entire day on all four street corners.
The money raised will be used to serve needy families through the holiday season.
