Drunk Driver Sentencing

A convicted drunk driver learns his fate after nearly killing a local police officer in an accident. 41-year-old Huey Kennedy of Pea Ridge, Arkansas was sentenced yesterday to seven years in prison. He was charged with second-degree assault and driving without a license. Kennedy ran a red light in may and struck the patrol car of deputy Marshal Matthew Moore of Pineville. Moore was critically injured in the accident. Moore said that he was pleased with the outcome of the hearing, and was glad that McDonald County Prosecutor Steve Geeding pushed for the maximum sentence for Kennedy. Reported By: Sarah Lonnevik
