Wal-Mart Thefts

An area retail giant is the target of holiday thieves. The incident happened monday at the 7th street Wal-Mart in Joplin. Joplin Police say three women were arrested after using a worthless prepaid gift card to steal about 700 dollars in merchandise. 25-year old Consuela Green, 19-year old donna goss and 26-year old Christine Winkler all of Stark City, Missouri have been arrested. Investigators say two of the women left the store with a cart full of merchandise while the third woman stayed behind to pay. A similar incident happened Thanksgiving day at the neosho Wal-Mart. Police say the thieves took about 350-dollars worth of merchandise from that store. Reported By: Jim Jackson
