Meeting With Governor Henry

Residents of a local superfund site travel to the state capitol in an effort to encourage a buy-out plan. residents who live in the tar creek superfund site traveled to Oklahoma City today to meet with Governor Brad Henry. Governor Henry has requested Picher and Cardin residents meet with him today to discuss his voluntary buy-out plan. Governor Henry is working on a plan to give families with children up to the age of six a voluntary buy-out. Sparkman says while this plan may not be the total solution. He believes it is the first step of many in the right direction. We`ll have more on the meeting when the residents return. Reported By: Jennifer Granna
