The search for a new City Manager in a four state town is nearing its end. The Webb City City Council has narrowed its selection to three applicants for the vacant City Manager position. The three were chosen from five finalists who visited Webb City for interviews earlier this month. Mayor Glenn Dolence says no front-runner emerged during the council`s talks. He says it will likely be next year before a replacement is hired. After the city conducts background checks on the remaining finalists, City Attorney Paul Taylor will draft contracts to submit to the council and to the candidates. The mayor plans to meet with the council in another closed session on January 5th. The city manager position in Webb City has been vacant since the council fired John Rogers three months ago.
