Your hometown may have a cameo in the next big blockbuster. The Carthage Convention and Visitor`s Bureau hosted the Missouri Film Commission today to talk about how local communities can get more involved in movies. The Commission is recruiting movie scouts who would take pictures of their hometowns to possibly be used as movie locations. Movie producers scouting for locations would then receive those pictures. "What they`re doing is looking for potential film slides that they can put in their archives so when they have a producer that is looking for a potential site. They can look into their files and see we have the perfect site for you here in missouri. and it happens to be in Carthage missouri,"said Teresa Gilliam, Carthage Convention and Visitors Bureau. If you would like to become a movie scout for your community you may call (866)357-8687. Reported By:Brad Douglas
