Voters in parts of the show-me state will also be casting their vote for the future of a local school district. The Lamar School District is asking voters for a 47-cents tax levy. The money would go to help with operation costs for the school including funding athletic programs, new school buses and teachers salaries. If the levy does not pass, administrators say they are concerned for the future of the schools teachers.
"Possibly loosing health insurance for the staff. To us that`s going to make the most impact on the kids, because a lot of the staff will probably leave and take other jobs,"said Mike Resa, Lamar Superintendent.
