Mr. Tutu In Jail

The man known as the Tutu man will now be spending time in jail. 62-year-old Robert Offutt has pleaded guilty in a Joplin Municipal Court to a charge of sexual misconduct. Offut says he was pleading guilty to wearing his outfit, but he was not guilty of commtting a crime. The outfit he is referring to is a leotard, tutu, and ruffled blouse all in white. Offutt was wearing the outfit when he neighbors say exposed himself and made lewd gestures to a school bus full of children. Investigators say the incident happened in the 2-hundred block of South Pearl. Offutt was sentenced yesterday to one-hundred days in jail. Reported By: Sarah Lonnevik
