Updated: January 7, 2009
A nationwide search has been launched to find the person responsible for killing a local boxing legend. Officals with the Missouri Highway Patrol say finding that person is like searching for a needle in a hay stack. 58-year old Johnny Copeland was killed when he was walking along interstate 44 and was struck by a semi truck. Authorities are contacting truck companies all over the country. They believe the truck involved was a volvo semi truck. Copeland was a famous boxer who was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. Reported By: Courtney Cullor
