Uniontown Soldier Dies

Meanwhile a second soldier to die from Uniontown, Kansas while serving in Iraq is being laid to rest. The funeral for 24-year old Corporal Michael Speer will be held in his wife`s hometown of Kingport, Tennessee. Speer died a week ago in hostile fire west of Baghdad. He had been serving with the Second Battalion, Second Marines since 2001. A memorial service will likely be held in Uniontown where Speer graduated from high school. A time and location has not yet been set.
