Residents in Pierce City are also receiving more federal money to help pick up the pieces of last years deadly tornado. Pierce City Mayor Mark Peters met with represenatives from the United States Department of Agriculture at a check presentation. The USDA donated 80 thousand dollars to the city to help with recovery efforts.The money will be used to help as problems arise in the reconstruction of the town such as water treatment.It will help re-build a new city hall. The Mayor is currently working inside a temporary city hall inside a mobile home. After the presentation the Mayor and represenatives took a tour of downtown Pierce City. Also Representatives from Congressman Blunt`s office and Senator Jim Talents office were on hand for the check presentation. Reported By: Brad Douglas
