Calling Up Reserves for Airport Security

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Military police will soon be evident at some local airports. Governor Holden announced today that national guard members will be ordered to airports in Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield and perhaps elsewhere. Bush urged governors this morning to call up guard units to protect U.S. airports while the White House implements a long-term airline security plan. Tighter airport security is part of the response to the September 11th terrorist attacks.
