Some local high school graduates will have a bit more money in their pockets when they leave for college this fall. The Joplin High School class of 1948 gave three thousand dollars to three seniors graduating this year. Each student received a thousand dollar scholarship. It was a surprise to each of the college bound seniors who were pulled out of class to be given the good news. To date the class of 1948 has given 37 thousand dollars in scholarships to Joplin High Graduates. Reported By: Brad Douglas
